From field to bag
Our raw materials come from controlled cultivation with partner farmers and are dried to Hartog specifications. Every batch is checked before it leaves for your farm. Organic products carry the Skal certificate.
Hartog Compact Lucerne is 100% sieved lucerne, pressed into a compact 20 kg bale. Each bale is held together by straps and wrapped in foil, so it stays clean in storage. Many poultry farmers use it as natural pecking and foraging material.

Find a sales pointIt depends on the product. Fiber products are only available in bags and can be bought in pallet size. Pellets might be available in big bags or bulk depending on your situation. Please get in touch for more information.
Hartog Lucerne Agri is a roughage mix for young calves, pigs, dairy cows and beef cattle. Hartog Compact Lucerne and Hartog Compact Lucerne BIO give laying hens and broilers natural pecking and foraging material. Hartog Lucerne Pellets and Hartog Grass Pellets are also used for cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and alpacas.
Hang the bale in a Hartog Feeding net just above the ground, between the hens, and leave the straps on so it lasts longer. Spread several bales across the house so every hen can reach one. Start in the first weeks of rearing and top up where needed.
Both are 100% sieved lucerne in the same 20 kg bale. Hartog Compact Lucerne BIO is organic lucerne, harvested, processed and delivered under the conditions of Skal, the Dutch inspection body for organic production.
