Laying hens spend much of their day pecking and foraging. Hartog Compact Lucerne gives them natural material to do that. It is 100% sieved lucerne, pressed into a compact 20 kg bale, held together by straps and wrapped in foil per bale, so it stays clean in storage. Lucerne is naturally rich in protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals, so it adds nutrition to the ration as well as pecking material.

Hang the bale in a Hartog Feeding Net just above the ground, between the hens. The net slows down intake, so the bale lasts longer and less is wasted. Offering it from the rearing phase onwards gives the best results.
