  • Gives hens natural pecking and foraging material
  • Very labour-friendly in use
  • Certified organic

Hartog Compact Lucerne BIO is the organic version of Hartog Compact Lucerne: sieved organic lucerne, pressed into a wrapped 20 kg bale. It gives hens fibre-rich material to peck and forage, which keeps them busy and less focused on each other. The lucerne is harvested, processed and delivered under the conditions of Skal, the Dutch inspection body for organic production.

Hang the bale in a Hartog Feeding Net just above the ground, from the first phase of rearing. More foraging means more activity in the gut and firmer droppings, which helps keep the litter dry. Each bale is wrapped in foil for clean storage.
