Lucile Verdonck

The story of Lucile Verdonck, who fulfilled her dream of working with horses

Where it all began:
After working as a groom at CSI5* competitions, I returned to my home region to set up a livery yard based on the active stable concept, which is still relatively uncommon in northern France.

I mainly ride and teach showjumping, dressage and groundwork.
I have been using Hartog products for several years and am delighted with them. The extensive range makes it easy to tailor each horse’s diet to their individual needs, whether they are with us on livery or in training.
Traveling for horses: the work of Lucile Verdonck

“I’m very happy with my career and don’t regret anything. I’ve evolved alongside Romain Potin, Pierre Alain Mortier, Michel Robert, and René Lopez.”

Last June, I decided to end my career as a groom. Back in my home region, the north, I set up my own business. For now, I’m itinerant, moving between different stables to teach horse owners, train horses, and more.

Who travels with Lucile Verdonck?
“I’ve been accompanied by Jet, my border collie, for 9 years! 🐶
🐎 Quémi du Cygne, my first horse. Quémi is a French trotter that my mom and I saved from slaughter in 2006 when he was just two years old.
🐎 Miel Pops du Pontot is a male Selle Français who will be two soon. Miel Pops comes from a small family breeding farm owned by my best friend.”
