Frank Schuttert

My name is Frank Schuttert. I am a 33-year-old showjumper and have been running my own business in Ommen, the Netherlands, for five years.

I started riding at a very young age and competed at the European Championships in ponies, juniors and young riders, winning several team medals and individual gold at the Young Rider European Championships in 2013.

At the age of 19, I moved to Belgium to work for Jos Lansink. There, I could fully focus on developing my riding, competing up to five-star level and learning all aspects of horse management. After nine years, I decided to return to the Netherlands to establish my own business in Ommen.

Alongside competing at the highest level, I focus on producing and selling high-quality showjumping horses. We aim to find and purchase talented young horses and develop them towards five-star level, selling them along the way when we find the right match for each horse.

I also ride horses for owners, which allows me to build longer-term partnerships with the horses and continue competing at the highest level.

One of my recent highlights was winning the five-star Grand Prix at Jumping Amsterdam earlier this year with my top horse, Isis.
