My name is Abbie, and I’m a dressage rider based in the UK, producing horses with a strong focus on correct training, long-term soundness, and happy partnerships. Horses have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and what started as a passion has grown into something that shapes my daily life — from training and competition to content creation and sharing the realities of the sport on social media. I’m most proud of the journey rather than the results: the patience, consistency, and small wins that build trust between horse and rider. That process is what motivates me every day.
My main competition horse is Castor H Z, better known as “Big Al.” He is a talented dressage horse currently training and competing with the goal of progressing up the levels. Big Al is a huge character — powerful, expressive, and incredibly genuine — and he has taught me a lot about listening, adapting, and putting welfare first. Like many horses, he hasn’t been without challenges, which has made careful management, nutrition, and overall wellbeing even more important to us. My priority is always keeping him feeling good in both body and mind.
I was drawn to Hartog Horsefeed because their values align so closely with my own. High-quality fibre, transparency, and feeding horses in a way that supports both performance and health are non-negotiables for me. Since feeding Hartog, I’ve seen a positive difference in condition, consistency, and overall way of going. Being a Hartog ambassador means sharing a product I genuinely trust and use daily, and helping other riders understand the importance of nutrition as part of responsible horse care. I’m proud to represent a brand that puts the horse first — always.
